Sandwich Filling: Club Classic
Donal's Notes
This club is an absolute whopper and anyone will love it. Just remember to take out the skewers before you bite into it!
Instructions
1
Cut the chicken breast into 1cm pieces and cut the tomato into thin slices.
2
Heat a large frying pan over a high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken, season and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until beginning to turn golden and are cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
3
Return the pan to the heat and fry the bacon rashers until crispy.
4
Toast the bread until golden and spread a thin layer of butter on one of the slices. To assemble the sandwich, start with the bottom layer. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the slice and top with lettuce, tomato slices and bacon.
5
Spread butter on one side and mayonnaise on the other side of the next slice of bread. Lay it over the bacon, mayonnaise side up. Top this with a slice of cheddar cheese, 2 ham slices and 3-4 chicken pieces. Butter the final piece of bread and place on top.
6
Secure with skewers and slice into 2. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make a second sandwich.
